How do I register for Commercial Bank Internet Banking?

  • ​Registering online is easy, follow these steps:
    - Go to www.cbq.qa/login
    - Click Register Now
    - Enter your Qatari ID or Passport number and mobile number
    - Enter the One Time Password that is sent to your mobile

     

    All you need to do now is select your username & password to start banking online

  • ​Any Commercial Bank customer with an active account

​What do I need to register?

  • ​* Make sure your latest mobile number is registered with Commercial Bank
    * Have your Qatari ID or Passport number on hand as you will need it to complete your registration
    * You will receive an authorisation code to your mobile, so make sure it's by your side when you start your registration process

​What can I do online?

  • You can transfer money between your accounts as well as to anyone locally and internationally. Online Banking also allows you to pay bills quickly and easily. What's more, you can manage all of your Commercial Bank cards with the click of a button such as activating your cards, requesting replacements and reissuing new PIN codes for your cards. ​I have entered the wrong password and my account is locked. How do I unlock  my Commercial Bank Internet Banking account?

  • ​If you have unsuccessfully or incorrectly entered your username and/or password, you will eventually be locked out of the system for security reasons. If this happens, use the Forgot Password option on either Internet Banking or Mobile Banking to reset your account and password.

  • ​Since no sensitive personal or financial information is stored on the device itself, Commercial Bank Internet Banking is safe with the added convenience of always being accessible

​Are my financial transactions secure?

  • ​Yes, our Internet Banking and Mobile Banking are secure as no information is stored on your device, which means your security is not compromised if your device is lost or stolen.

What happens if I lose my device?

  • ​As there is no financially sensitive information stored on the device, no one will be able to access your accounts without your unique login password and One Time Password (OTP). We recommend that you never store your password on your device’s memory or use apps for storing your passwords. We also recommend that in the event that your device is lost or stolen, please change your password and mobile number immediately. Also, if you feel your password has been compromised you can quickly block access to your accounts or change your password immediately on Internet or Mobile Banking

​What if I'm using a company provided device or a shared device?

  • The service can work with any compatible devices, and whilst there is no sensitive financial data stored on the device we would recommend that you only use a device that you have full control over.
    Please avoid using the mobile banking and/or internet banking on public Wi-Fi or unsecured internet or net cafes

​What if I have forgotten my Commercial Bank Internet Banking login password?

  • You can reset your password  using our Forgot Password service found on the log in page.

​Can I process my transactions securely?

  • ​Commercial Bank Online Banking uses secure technology to protect your personal information such as your username and password. We have also introduced log in authentications through One Time Passwords. Any information we send you is scrambled enroute and decoded once it reaches you so we can keep your information protected.

​Can I see my transaction history?

  • ​Yes you can instantly view the last 6 month transactions from your Internet Banking account.

​Can I dispute a transaction?

  • Yes. Like any transaction you find on your account - whether through branch, Internet or Mobile Banking - it can be disputed and/or researched. Internet Banking disputes follow the same procedures. Visit your nearest Commercial Bank branch or call us at 4449 0000 for support in disputing a transaction.

​Will I be charged for this service?

  • There are no fees associated with subscribing to Commercial Bank Internet Banking. However, transaction fees may be charged on transactions. These transactional fees are also applicable in our branches. For further details on these charges please refer to the banks standard charges tariff on www.cbq.qa.

​What is a beneficiary?

  • ​A beneficiary is the receiving party or account to whom you are making a transfer to.

​How can I transfer money between my accounts?

  • That's easy! Follow these steps to transfer between your Commercial Bank accounts:


    - Go to New Transfers in the Transfers menu
    - Select 'My CB accounts' in the transfer type section
    - Select the accounts you wish to transfer from and to
    - Enter the amount you wish to transfer
    - Click transfer and confirm

How can I transfer money overseas?

  • Transferring money around the world is easier than you think. If you have previously transferred money to the same person whether in any Commercial Bank branch or online, you can easily find their details in My Beneficiaries section of the Transfers page. If you find the beneficiary on your list, follow these steps:


    - Select the name on the list, this will automatically fill the beneficary's details in the transfer form
    - Select the account to be debited and enter the amount
    - Select the purpose of your transfer
    - Click transfer and confirm

    If you are transferring to someone new, follow these steps first:


    - Go to the Transfers page
    - Click 'Add' in the My Beneficiaries section on the right panel
    - Select International
    - Enter the details of the beneficiary including his account and bank details
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​How can I request a transfer to a third party in Qatar?

  • Transferring money is easy. If you have previously transferred money to the same person whether in any Commercial Bank branch or online, you can easily find their details in My Beneficiaries section of the Transfers page. If you find the beneficiary on your list, follow these steps:


    - Select the name on the list, this will automatically fill the beneficiary's details in the transfer form
    - Select the account to be debited and enter the amount
    - Select the purpose of your transfer
    - Click transfer and confirm

    If you are transferring to someone new, follow these steps first:


    - Go to the Transfers page
    - Click 'Add' in the My Beneficiaries section on the right panel
    - Select International
    - Enter the details of the beneficiary including his account and bank details
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​How do I pay my Credit Card?

  • ​You can quickly make payments to your Credit Cards by clicking 'Make payment' on the homepage. You will need to select the account to be debited and the amount to complete your payment request

​What is the Credit Card payment plan?

  • ​The payment plan helps you reschedule your payments which are due for your credit cards through monthly installments over a specific time period.

​How can I pay my Ooredoo bills ?

  • Firstly, you will need to go to the Payments page. If you are paying to a bill you've previously added, you will find the bill in My Payees on the right. Follow these steps:


    - Click on the bill name, this will automatically fill the bill details in the Bill payments section
    - Select the frequency of your payment
    - Select the account to be debited
    - Enter the amount
    - Click Pay
    - Review the details to confirm your payment

    If you need to set up a new bill, follow these steps:


    - Click 'Add' in the My Payees section on the right panel
    - Select the category and merchant
    - Enter the bill details
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​How can I buy a Hala topup?

  • ​Firstly, you will need to go to the Prepaid services on the Payments page and follow these steps
    - Select the service
    - Enter the mobile number to which the credit should be received
    - Select the account to be debited
    - Select the top up value
    - Click Purchase top up
    - Review the details to confirm your purchase

​How can I activate my cards?

  • ​You can follow these steps to activate your card:
    - Go to 'Manage your cards' under My Tools
    - Click 'Activate' for the card you wish to activate
    - Enter your card's last 4 digit and expiration date
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​How can I block my cards?

  • ​You can block your card by following these steps:
    - Go to 'Manage your cards' under My Tools
    - Click 'Block' for the card you wish to block
    - Select the type of block (Permanent or Temporary)
    - Enter the purpose of your blocking request
    - Click Next to confirm your request

​How can I replace my cards?

  • ​Follow these simple steps:
    - Go to 'Manage your cards' under My Tools
    - Click 'Replace' for the card you wish to replace
    - Select the delivery details
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​How can I request a new PIN for my cards?

  • ​Follow these simple steps to request a new PIN:
    - Go to 'Manage your cards' under My Tools
    - Click 'Reissue PIN' for the card
    - Select the delivery details
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​I'm traveling soon and will need to use my card while I'm out of Qatar. What should I do?

  • ​If you are traveling and you want to use you card while abroad, you need to make sure that you authorise your overseas transactions by following these steps:
    - Go to 'Manage your cards' under My Tools
    - Click 'Overseas card usage' for the card you wish to authorise
    - Choose the dates
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​I need to shop online using my Commercial Bank cards, do I have to activate my card for online shopping?

  • ​Yes, as part of the new international requirements, we will be sending you a One Time Password with every payment you wish to make online. Simply use the authorisation code send to your registered mobile to approve the transaction. If you need to confirm which number is linked to your card and/or if you want to update the number, follow these steps:
    - Go to 'Manage your cards' under My Tools
    - We will display the mobile number which is linked to each of your cards. Click 'Online card usage' for the card you wish to update
    - Enter the new mobile number which should be linked to the card
    - Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile to confirm your request

​I changed my mobile number, do I need to inform the bank ?

  • Yes, you can quickly update your contact details by clicking 'Edit Profile' on the right panel from any page.

​I forgot my password, how can I retrieve it?

  • ​On the log in page, you can select 'Forgot password' and follow one of the two options to reset your password
    1. reset your password by answering your secret question
    2. reset your password by entering your Qatari ID or Passport number and mobile number
    You will need to enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile before you can reset your password

​I want to create shortcuts for the services I use most frequently, how can I do that?

  • ​That's easy! Click on 'Manage links' from the Quick links menu on the right panel to select your 5 services so you can personalise your shortcuts

​How can I change my password?

  • ​You will need to go to Settings from your Profile menu to reset your password. You will need to authorise the change by entering the One Time Password which will be sent to your mobile.
